On social, we ran Instagram Stories that made it appear that the user was receiving messages from characters from the show, letting us highlight our award-winning talent like Lennie James, Suranne Jones and Stephen Graham, but always about Jody.
The above stories were followed by more content-led paid content, highlighting the name of the show and featuring a typography-led approach to improve recall. Again featuring a heavily stylised mobile communication, we cut-in flashes of character work to heighten intrigue in the build-up to launch day.
Continuing the ‘Missed Call’ theme, I wrote, directed and produced these ads framed as missed calls from series leads Suranne Jones and Lennie James.
Phase 1 was designed to drive intrigue and suspense for this premium drama, and was followed by the ‘cinematic’ ad, a more generic, attention grabbing piece to push viewership for the opening episode.
Despite it’s dark themes, Save Me takes place within a vibrant London community, and it’s cast reflects that. To emphasise the setting, we commissioned a series of murals in Kentish Town and Elephant & Castle.
